Small light, Big Light

As I stood among my classmates back then in primary school on the assembly, I do belt those songs from the depth of my heart with great gusto on a high pitched voice that sometimes overshadow everybody else. I don’t know why I love that song while  growing up. Perhaps the lyrics, the simplicity of the fact that I have little light or the melodious sound it etched to my young mind as it is being sung. Seriously I can’t place a finger on it. Oh! I remember we used to sing it at church too.

>>>>>>>>>>fast forward few years up from then when I began to devour motivational and inspirational books as if my life depends on it. A new waves of perception and  awareness dawn on me and I began to see things things differently, I began to be conscious of the way I thinks,  change my thinking and thoughts pattern which in turn begins to embolden me to challenge social and religious belief system that are common but wrong.

 And the next time a cousin of mine was singing this song awhile ago, my old self would have join in but no something has changed in me . I ask him, “who told you you have small light?” He was shocked because he couldn’t understand my point. So I had to sit him down and explain things to him
One: Power of positive confession. You will become and experience whatever you keep saying to yourself continually for a period of time. Why do you think the bible says the power of life and death is in the tongue?. I told him “God hand is tied to your belief system which is expressed in what you say. Remember because out of the heart, the mind speak. And angels are on guard to work with your words, don’t make it hard on them feeding them negative words.
Don’t limit your growth and capacity by unconsciously programming your mind for defeat. Change your vocabularies.

Never use negative words on yourself. Confess positive good things into your life
Two: The Law of reproduction.

Every living things produces after it kind.” A child of a king is a  prince right? He nodded. So I ask him again, elephants give birth to what? He enthused elephant. So a child of God is a what? He pauses for a moment. Then he said a God.  His eyes brighten up, I could see it. I then told him ” You are a god and god don’t have little light because Jesus is the bright and morning star”. So
I told him “how will you sing the song now”. Now we are going to replace the word little’ in that song to ‘ great or big’.
So here is the new version

This great light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine
This wonderful light of mine, it is already shining

Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!!!

The sound of the song was in variance to the sound we grew up with,almost an awkward experience. I told him not to be discouraged. Reprogramming isn’t a small feat as the mind has stored layers of hundreds of bulky , weighty layers of negative information, perceptions and belief system that has set – Mindset. Just like when a concrete when left over a period of time becomes harden and set. It will take awhile for it to dissolve however with persistent hammering and watering, it will give way.
Just like a cup filled up with a dirty water placed under a clean water tap, what determines the rate at which the dirty water changes to a clean one is determines by the forceful and intensity of the clean water running through it. Reprogramming the mind positively take time but the result should worth the effort.

Avoid negative such words as these:
We common man of the masses – are you common? Common man experience common problems but you are suppose to be different. Doesn’t the bible indicate that you are a peculiar person, a special breed, an original with no duplicate, an ambassador of Christ? Don’t sell yourself cheap. You are God’s masterpiece

Poor me – so are you poor? When the bible says Christ became poor so that you might be rich. Poverty and wealth is a mind thing. Remember you shall have whatever you say. Don’t be afraid of big things. If its too big for your mind, it means your mind can’t handle it and surely you won’t get it. You are rich and blessed. Blessings supersede wealth

There is no money anywhere, the economy is bad – when God says he will bless you according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus, not according to the economy situation. God says the silver and the Gold is his and you are his child. How then can you complained of lack. He has the longest leg to take you anywhere. If he can send a fish to deliver money, what else can’t he do?

This my sickness ehn is so bad- who tell you so? So sickness has become so holding on you so much you have decided to personalise it. When the Bible says by he himself took our infirmities, the chastisement of our sin was upon him, by his stripe you are healed. Have you forgotten that your body is the temple of the HolyGhost? Sickness and HolyGhost can’t cohabit the same body.

1.  Who told you? What’s your source of information?
2.  Whose report will you believe?
3. I lay before you life and death, its your choice now
