The Christian Life (1)

To live the Christian life you must realise that when you gave your life to Christ, you surrendered your life completely to God. Spiritually you are autimatically enlistee into the Lord’s army. You now have a new master – Jesus Christ. Many dont know the gravity of the confessional statement of saying Jesus should be their Lord and Saviour.
Its sad to find out that many christian find it difficult to make Jesus their Lord and not only their saviour. As Jesus being your Lord, You cannot hold on to your own plans and schemes and live the life God has ordained for you.
Before you can live the life of faith you must acknowledge and submit to the fact that you have been crucified with Christ and it’s no longer you that lives but Christ in you. Nothing like my plan, it’s all about His program NOW.

Galatians 2:20 [KJV]

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

It’s therefore now thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven and not your will.
Faith has nothing to do with the fulfilment of your own programs by repeated positive affirmations and confessions. Faith only works where Christ is Lord by the instrumentality of Obedience. It can only appropriate that which God has planned to do in any given situation.
The great hindrance to faith has been the erroneous teaching that it’s an instrument through which your will can come to pass on the earth and you can create your own world, that isn’t faith, it is metaphysics.
It’s about creating His own world. It’s about creating His own world, being committed to bringing and establishing heaven’s plan and programs on the earth. As an ambassador of Christ, that ought to be our sole aim and drive or else we become useless and can therefore being recalled back home.

Once there is a complete abandonment of your will to God, it becomes easy for the Spirit to do His work of mortifying the old life and bringing forth the new in you.
Many things we struggle with is because our old man and it condescending, diminutive nature is the Lord of our lives and not Christ. Christ is either Lord of all or Not Lord at all.

You claimed Jesus is Lord of your life. is He LORD of your finances, of your relationships, of your attitudes, of your dress sense? …….e.t.c

As we submit to the authority of the Lordship of Jesus, we therefore are changed from glory to glory as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Every Blessings,

  1. I am reminded of Colossians 1:16 which says we have been created by Him and for Him, we are here to please God and do his will not just whatever we want..may God help us fully surrender to His will in Jesus name

  2. A lot of people don’t really get the depth of what the Christian life really entails. It’s not all affirmation and positive thinking. There’s sacrifice, temptations, trials, denial of flesh etc. Faith is good but not when we want to faith against the will of God.

    1. “Faith is good but not applicable against the will of God” – that’s so apt

Christianity ought to be the submission to the will of Christ until Christ be formed in us.

Thanks so much for your insightful contribution, very much appreciated.

Enjoy the rest of the week
